  2. Jayne says:

I'm sure you will plenty of chances to do more of these shows!! Thanks for sharing some of your highlights and moments. Always fun to read!

  3. The O's says:

Amelia and I would really really like the Juki and frame… really really like… please and thank you x

Looks awesome and I can't wait to slot a trip to Sydney later this year (and Melbum next year)…

Sounds like fun! I was always on the table with the teachers who got shushed from other participants in"training" sessions. Haha! I'm glad you found some like-minded souls! I think Juki was brilliant in hiring you! A happy, smiling personality, inclusive of everyone, makes all feel welcome, articulate to the nth degree, talented writer, large following, looks cool and in fashion while being very presentable, and of course, an extremely talented quilter brave enough to do his own thing! I know I left off some stuff, but Juki is a smart business and they made a smart choice. Especially since you believe in what you're representing – it honestly is your brand of choice. I got most irritated when I heard someone say maybe it should have been a woman since that's more representative of quilting. What? I'm sure glad that someone finally hired a woman in male dominated areas – like all of them. Then they bitch when there is a turn around? You can't have it both ways ladies! Anyway, that's just silly stuff. Glad you had a good time, Molli, and I know you were a glittering representative for a company who got all sorts of respect from me for being smart enough to hire you!

    • I just want to state for the record that I did not pay Magistra to say these things, and she is not Grandma Sparkles in disguise. With that said, I whole heartedly agree! HAHA! Thank you so much!

Haha! How much would I love that title, "Grandma Sparkles"! But no, just a general, rather unsparkly member of the glitterati that drinks truth tea and admires individualism and optimism, especially when combined with a clever dash of bending blind boundaries fun! And you're very welcome!

  5. Luisa says:

I greatly enjoyed reading this, you have such a great way with words. It was lovely to meet you and see your quilts on display, they are so much more vibrant than any photo I've seen. I wish I'd thought to take a selfie! Hope to see you again Molli!

  6. Salley says:

    You are sooo naughty.

  7. kiwikid says:

  8. SewPsyched! says:

omg!! Molli!! I am so glad and thrilled for you! Go Go Goooooooooo!
    XX!

  9. Laurelle says:

It was so nice to meet you at the show. Definitely my highlight. I had so much fun working at my friends booth. Was completely exhausted doing two days! I don't know how you guys lasted four. I was very proud of myself for not purchasing one single item!( I think I also have it all already). Loved all the eye candy though. Will we be seeing you at the next show at Jeff"s shed? Better book your ticket šŸ™‚ See you there!

  10. Sooli says:

Looks like a great time was had by all (and better than great by a few others!). Life got in the way for me this year but going to AQC is on my to do list. We've decided to move house though so it may not be next year but who knows, three months ago I would have told you I wasn't ever moving house either! Hope they managed to clean up your glitter trail after the party was over.

  11. Debbie says:

Wow. What a time you had! Sounds like great fun. I confess I especially got a kick out of the Juki exec's love of hexies. šŸ˜‰

  12. Di says:

Oh, how I wish I'd been there for all the fun last week! Sydney was just a little less glittery in your absence, Molli šŸ™‚

  13. lalaluu says:

Thanks for the holla out to Houston! The Glitterati should come down (or up or over, yadda yadda) at the end of October for THE EVENT in town (plus the weather's good then, too!). Seriously, the International Quilt Festival at the George R Brown Convention Center has more attendees than any other event all year at the GRB. That's saying something since they have gun shows and auto shows there and THIS IS TEXAS! LOL. Hopefully, I'll be able to get Down Under one of these days to check out the AQC – you've definitely got me intrigued!

Spill the truth tea.
