How weird; footballs in the UK are round!

You are so generous to share!! Thank you! We live in one football town, my husband is from another and son-in-law from another. I am going to make a table runner from three of these – one each of each team colors – for the coffee table when they all come over on Sundays (which is the big football day here in the US) for the snacks to sit on.

It has definitely started. Thanks for sharing. Been working on quilt ideas for my oldest son and this should fit right in.

Thanks. This block will fit right in to a boy's quilt I am making.

Great tutorial!! Football season started here in the State in late August and is in full swing! This would be a perfect block to make a quilt out of as a fund raising donation for my local school – their colors are purple and black so I would alternate the background colors, keeping the football brown and the lacing white. Thank you!!!

  6. Now that I've seen your tutorial I might come to my senses one evening and find myself in the middle of one of these blocks. I have been escaping to my studio while hubs watches football almost every night! Cable!!! Don't worry, he's not an armchair athlete. Before his bum lands on the couch for the evening it has spent 40-60 miles on a bike. Thanks for sharing.

Lol at Mary's comment! That's a rugby ball with white bits you have there :oD

Do you think I could enlarge this to make one baby quilt size block?

I took the ball and ran with it for a touchdown! Thanks for sharing the pattern!
